HOUSE RENTALS
Any of the real estate offices are great to rent from- you can’t go wrong.  But listed is the one my mom works at.  Renting a house is a great way to save money because you can cook in.

TIDES
Checking the tide/moon schedule can enhance your experience on the water. Lower tides expose the shorelines in the estuary areas. These shorelines provide habitat for fiddler crabs, shorebirds, other invertebrates and subsequently a wildlife viewing/ resting area for kayakers. Low low tides which occur during the full moon and new moon period can also create sand bars and make kayaking difficult for some kayakers.
Higher tides bring in more water – easier paddling and better swimming. Also a chance to kayak into all the nooks and crannies and along the salt marsh grasses.
